Nigel Cornelius has over 10 years experience in the field of health and safety and food safety. This was gained during periods both in enforcement with Northampton Borough Council (5 years) and in consultancy with Croner Consulting Ltd (over 5 years).

Qualifications: he gained an MSc in Occupational Health and Safety Management from Nottingham Trent University, PGDip in Environmental Health from University of West of England and a BSc Honours in Chemistry from York University. He has also completed a BSI Lead Auditor Training for OSHAS 18001.
Experience: he has experience of providing health & safety consultancy over a large range of clientele ranging from distribution warehousing, shops, offices, engineering, woodworking, leisure facilities (football clubs, cricket clubs, motor-racing/Karting circuits), hotels, public houses, restaurants, care homes, car dealerships, garages etc. These were primarily small medium enterprises but he has provided bespoke consultancy work to larger clients. He has also carried out Food Auditing and developed Food Systems including Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point systems (HACCP’s.) For most of these clients he has developed health and safety management systems which have included producing polices, procedures, checklists Organo-structures of the organisation for Health and Safety, identified responsibilities and carried out risk assessments. He has also carried out compliance audits, bespoke consultancy work and designed and delivered bespoke training for individual clients needs. |
