Training is an important factor in any part of management with in an organisation and Health and Safety is no different. It is a means of ensuring persons have the requisite skills (competence) to undertake their jobs safely and without risks to others. This is relevant for all levels of employment from Management to employees.

Cornelius (Health & Safety) Consultants can provide a range of training courses on your site these include the following:

Principles & Practices of Manual Handling ½ day: to enable employees involved in manual handling operations to recognise the type of injuries that occur from incorrect manual handling and to reduce injuries by correct manual handling techniques.

Manual Handling for Demonstrators 1day (maximum of 6 delegates): to enable delegates of a Supervisory and Management position to understand the principles of movement and be able to train others in manual handling practice skills, in a group or on a one to one basis.

Risk Assessment Training: to enable delegates to understand the principles of risk assessment and its implementation.

Safety Awareness Training: to enable delegates to recognise their individual and organisations responsibilities for health and safety, to ensure delegates understand the importance of policy documentation and safe working arrangements to support the policy.

CIEH Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety (recognised qualification) 1-2 days: to enable delegates to recognise their individual and organisations responsibilities for health and safety and the principles of risk management. This covers a wide range of topics although the topics discussed can be tailored to their specific requirements. A 30 question multiple choice exam is undertaken and all persons gaining over a 66% pass mark are awarded the above qualification.
